URGENT EMERGENCY RESCUE — WE NEED HELP ASAP

For over 30–40 years, cats have been abandoned behind the Pizza Hut in Belle Vernon. A 78-year-old woman has spent decades caring for these cats out of her own pocket and on her own time. Over the past several years, our rescue has partnered with her to help feed, trap, socialize, vet, and rehome as many cats as possible.

Unfortunately, the situation has now become a full emergency.

There are currently an estimated 30+ cats living in the wooded area behind the property. We had feeding stations, shelters, trapping areas, and safe spaces set up for them while we worked to rescue them. Without warning, the entire area is being bulldozed for a construction project.

The shelters, totes, feeding stations, and wooded safe areas were pushed over and destroyed. Trees and debris are now covering areas where cats were hiding. Terrified cats are being scattered into traffic near Interstate 70, and some have already been killed.

We have contacted PennDOT and every agency we could think of, begging them to pause long enough for us to safely remove the cats, but the clearing continues.

We desperately need:

• FOSTERS immediately
• Experienced trappers and rescue volunteers
• Donations for emergency vetting, food, carriers, traps, and supplies
• People willing to transport or assist on-site
• Shares to help spread the word

Right now, fostering is one of the most important ways you can help save lives. We cannot rescue these cats without places for them to go.

Many of these cats were abandoned by irresponsible people and left to survive on their own. They did not deserve this, and they need our help now more than ever.
